Broekemeier Leads Aurora to Season Opening Win
Aurora starts the season with a 48-13 win over Seward.

Tyson Broekemeier threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, as two-time defending champion Aurora defeating Seward 48-13 in its season opener.
Broekemeier had a hand in three straight scores, putting the Huskies in position for a convincing win. The Aurora QB weaved through the Seward defense for a second quarter score to put the Huskies up 14-0. Broekemeier then had touchdown passes to Matthew Grosshans and Beau Simmons to put the game out of reach.
The senior quarterback finished 13 of 18 for 248 yards. Seward's Sam Brauer also threw for a pair of touchdowns.
Aurora, rated #1 in Class B, next faces McCook.
