Mark Fiala took on Michael Klinginsmith in the 165 lb. weightclass, and Fiala took the match 6-5. Fiala went 44-1 in 2009, while Klinginsmith went undefeated in his sophomore to senior years in high school.

Fiala said, "It was talked about that it was the best matchup in the state. It was talked about all year long that people wanted to see the match, and it was a good match."

Lincoln Northeast's Porter Groves was also in action Saturday, Groves took home a state championship at the State Track and Field Championships earlier this year, winning the triple jump. Groves took down Ben Reehl of Norris 8-4 in the 133 lb. weight class.

"It's like when you come back and see your school and you take a test, and it shows what you've got done, and I think I aced my test," Groves commented.

The East team defeats the West team 16-12.
