Waverly's Tyler Evans told 10 / 11 he is leaning toward playing football in college.

"Right now I'm leaning toward football," Evans said. "I have some offers there, so I'm leaning toward that."

Evans has received Division I offers from former Husker Head Coach Frank Solich at Ohio University, as well as from Colorado State.

Evans is currently competing with the Bison-Nebraska Red basketball team, a select group of players from across the state who travel to various tournaments around the country.

"Coming out here, I think 'Wow, this is fun. This is what it'd be like'," Evans said. "I don't know. [I'm] probably still leaning toward football though."

The Viking senior was also an All-State performer in basketball, and won the 100 meter dash at the state track meet.
