The Millard South Patriots proved that they are the #1-ranked team in Class A Thursday night against the Lincoln East Spartans, defeating the Spartans 28-0 before an estimated 2,000 fans at Buell Stadium.

The Patriots closed the first half of the game with 263 yards of total offense, taking a 21-0 lead into the locker room.

Millard South quarterback Bronson Marsh was 17 of 22 with 268 yards passing.

The Spartans had a 13-play drive early in the second quarter, but it stalled when Christian Spaccarotella grabbed the ball to regain possession for the Patriots.

Lincoln East hosts North Platte next Friday at Seacrest Field, while Millard South travels to Omaha Westside.
