The Silver Hawks of Lincoln Southwest will meet the Mustangs of Millard North Friday night at Seacrest Field to begin the Class A football playoffs. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Both the Silver Hawks and Mustangs have identical 5-4 records.

Lincoln Southwest opened the 2009 season with three straight wins against Fremont, Lincoln North Star and Lincoln Northeast, but then lost two-straight against Grand Island and Kearney, each loss coming on last-second scores. Southwest then defeated Norfolk, before losing two-straight to Lincoln Southeast and Elkhorn, and then defeated Lincoln East 35-7 to close out the regular season.

Millard North started the 2009 season with a five-point loss to Millard West, then reeled off four-straight wins against Omaha Creighton Prep, Omaha Northwest, Omaha South and Papillion-LaVista South, before losing their next two games against Bellevue West and Omaha North. The Mustangs defeated Omaha Burke in overtime, and then lost their regular season finale to Millard South last Friday.
