On a night of little offense, Aquinas relied on its special teams to advance the Monarchs into the second round of the playoffs. Aquinas blocked two punts, one .of which set up the team's first touchdown, in a 14-0 win over Homer.

Both Aquinas scores came in the 4th quarter. Nate Roh scored on a 13-yard run and Zach Smith recovered a Homer fumble in the end zone for the Monarchs. Beyond that, Aquinas' defense held strong, keeping Homer out of the end zone and preserving the Monarchs' win.

Aquinas improves to 9-0 on the season.
