Waverly advances to the second round of the state playoffs with a shut out over Gretna.

Tyler Evans completed 6 of 10 passes for 122 yards as Waverly shut out Gretna in the first round of the state playoffs Friday.
Waverly running back Jared Janssen rushed 14 times for 120 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Vikings.
Waverly's defense limited Gretna to five first downs and 97 yards total.
Waverly will host Blair next Friday.
