2-seeded Syracuse was one quarter away from elimination Wednesday night. The Rockets made the most of those final 12 minutes, scoring 24 points in a 30-13 win over Bennington.

Syracuse trailed 13-6 heading into the final period after a number of offensive miscues. The Rockets, on multiple occasions, threatened to score but only mustered up one touchdown. Syracuse, though, overcame their previous mistakes to advance in the Class C1 playoffs.

Syracuse faces Boys Town in the quarterfinals.
