It's pretty routine if you ask Grand Island Central Catholic or Columbus Scotus if they've met in the Class C-1 Championship before. The Shamrocks and Crusaders will meet Saturday for their eighth time in the final game to decide who wins Class C-1.
The Shamrocks advanced to Saturday's championship match with a 25-15, 25-20, 25-14 sweep over Syracuse, while the Crusaders swept Kearney Catholic 25-17, 25-14, 25-16.
Columbus Scotus owns a 5-2 advantage in state title matches, but Grand Island Central Catholic owns the season series with three victories against Scotus this season.
Last year in the finals, Columbus Scotus swept Grand Island Central Catholic for the Shamrocks state-record 13th championship.
