Class D-1 Championship: What to Watch For
=======================================
Howells and Giltner will be meeting for the first time this season. Howells will be looking for back-to-back state titles as they won the Class D-1 crown in 2008.
The Giltner Hornets are making their eighth appearance in the state playoffs and will be looking for just their second state title - their only state championship came back 25 years ago, back in 1984.
One player for Giltner to watch is quarterback Nate Most. In Giltner's 64-36 semifinal win over Palmer Monday night, Most completed 23 of 38 passes for 302 yards and eight touchdowns. He also had 15 carries for 165 yards on the ground. In total - he had 467 all-purpose yards to lead the Hornets to the Class D-1 championship game.

Class D-2 Championship: What to Watch For
=======================================
Humphrey St. Francis will be making their first D-2 championship appearance since the 1998 season. Their last state championship years came in 1995 and 1996. The Flyers are making their 27th appearance in the state playoffs in school history.
Last season, the Flyers lost to Ewing in the D-2 championship game, 49-24.
Hayes Center is making their first state championship appearance in school history. They are also making their 21st appearance in the state playoffs in school history. Hayes Center lost in the semifinals last season to Ewing.
