On the eve of college football's signing day, Waverly's Tyler Evans is ready to sign on the dotted line. Evans will play for Nebraska, the team he grew up watching.
"It's definitely been a dream," Evans said. "Growing up 15 minutes from the Stadium and going to games since I was a little kid."
The high school quarterback will make the switch to wide receiver for the Huskers. Evans played the position as a sophomore at Waverly and is excited for the challenge.
Evans also played safety in high school and says Bo Pelini told him if the receiver doesn't work out he can move to the defensive side of the ball.
