In the final game of the night on Championship Saturday, the Class C-2 Championship, which was supposed to start at 9 p.m. didn't tip off until approximately 9:40 p.m. saw Ravenna get their second-straight Class C-2 championship in a 57-51 win over Fremont Bergan.
Connor Beranek led the scoring for the Bluejays with 19 points, followed by John Klosterman scoring 16 and Trevor Cyboron who added 10 in the championship win.
Fremont Archbishop Bergan was led in scoring by Tanner Werth with 16 points and Nicholas Jensen who added 14.
As a interesting sidebar note to this final championship of the day - in the first quarter, there were 13 fouls committed by both Ravenna and Archbishop Bergan. There are 60 seconds in a minute and eight minutes in a quarter, so if you do the math, that means it took 480 seconds to commit those 13 fouls, and if you divide the math out, that means that a foul was committed approximately every 36 seconds.
But then again, that's the nature of basketball.
Congratulations to Ravenna on winning the state championship.
