Pinnacle Bank Eliminated At State Legion Tournament
Columbus Pinnacle Bank's season ends with a loss to Papillion-LaVista South at the State Legion Tournament Monday night.

Pinnacle Bank had their dramatic run through the elimination bracket of the American Legion senior state tournament come to an end Monday night, with an 8-5 loss to Papillion-LaVista South.
Papillion-LaVista South had three home runs in the game to get the win.
Pinnacle Bank had stayed alive in the tournament after losing in the first round. Pinnacle defeated Bellevue West 7-4 and Creighton Prep 12-8 to make it to Monday's game.
Papillion-LaVista South never trailed and led 7-2 after Beau Suponchick hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning, his second home run of the game.
Taylor Anderson hit a two-run home run for Pinnacle in the seventh inning to trim the deficit to 7-4.
Pinnacle got no closer as Papillion-LaVista South added another run on a throwing error in the eighth inning to make the score 8-5.
Papillion-LaVista South is now 4-0 in the National Division and will need one win in two tries against Millard South on Tuesday to win the division and advance to this weekend's state championship.
