Red All-Stars Sweep Basketball Games
The Red All-Stars swept the Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star basketball games Monday night at Lincoln's North Star High School. The girls final was 62-47 and the boys final was 82-81.

The Red All-Stars swept the Nebraska Coaches Association All-Star basketball games Monday night at Lincoln's North Star High School.
In the girls game, the Red squad defeated the Blue squad 62-47. Sarah Nelson from Omaha Westside scored a team-high 13 points. Alyssa Kamphaus from Seward and McKenzie Fujan from Bishop Neumann combined for 10 points.
For the Blue squad, Alliance's Jordan Hooper had a double-double, 10 points and 10 rebounds. East Butler's Marissa Bongers led the Blue All-Stars with 12 points.
On the boys side, the Red squad defeated the Blue all-stars 82-81. The Blue squad hit 15 three-point field goals, but missed a three-pointer with time winding down, preserving a one-point win for the Red team.
The Red squad, who had six Lincoln players on their roster, came up clutch down the stretch. All six Lincoln players on the squad (Jordan Yurth, Tobin Reinwald, Eric Jackson, Trevor Johnson, Dylan Flinn and Drew Edmond) combined for 44 points in the game.
The All-Star festivities continue Tuesday with the All-Star Volleyball Game at North Star High School, beginning at 7 p.m. and conclude Wednesday with the All-Star Softball Games at Bowlin Stadium, set for 5 and 7 p.m..
