The Furnas County Attorney says Colby Carpenter, 28, of Arapahoe faces charges of false imprisonment, strangulation, and possession of a deadly weapon after a November 16 incident.
Furnas County Attorney Tom Patterson says the sheriff's office went to Carpenter's residence for a domestic violence call.
In a new release, the Furnas County Sheriff's office says Carpenter was arrested without incident and was never barricaded inside his home.
Patterson says Carpenter assaulted his wife and is charged with five felonies: false imprisonment, strangulation, terroristic threats, possession of a deadly weapon, and tampering with a witness. He's also charged with the misdemeanor crime of third degree domestic assault.
His next court hearing is February 3. Patterson says Carpenter is in the Furnas County Jail. His bond was set at $225,000.
