The Hall County Fair released its 2014 Concert Series lineup Wednesday morning.
Fair manager Corby Flagle said “We feel like we have really put together a great group of performers this year. Being able to give fair goers a great value for their entertainment dollar”.
Thursday July 10 with feature ACM Vocal Duo of the year award winners Thompson Square. With hits such as “Everything I Shouldn’t be Thinking About” and two time Platinum hit “Are You Going to Kiss Me or Not” they have been selling out arenas across the county. Opening for Thompson Square that night will be the winner of the hit TV series “The Voice” Danielle Bradbery. Her first released single “Heart of Dixie” is currently #9 on the US Charts and is sure to pack the Heartland Events Center to kick off this years fair lineup.
Friday July 11 will feature country superstar Craig Morgan. The 49-year-old Morgan is a native of Kingston Springs, Tenn., and is one of the better-known voices in Nashville, with a number of Billboard Top 40 hits to his credit. Notable songs by Morgan include 2002's "Almost Home," 2005's "Redneck Yacht Club," 2006's "Little Bit of Life," 2007's "International Harvester" and 2009's "Bonfire." More recently, Morgan sent "This Ain't Nothin'" to No. 13 on the charts in 2010, "Still a Little Chicken Left on That Bone" to No. 37 in 2010, "This Ole Boy" to No. 13 in 2011, "More Trucks Than Cars" to No. 38 in 2012, and "Wake Up Lovin' You" to No. 30 in 2013. Morgan has never released a single that did not chart on the U.S. country charts. Opening for Craig Morgan will be American Idol Finalist Josh Gracin. Besides being an instant superstar while performing on American Idol Josh Gracin will feature a number of hit songs including his former #1 hit “Nothin to Lose”.
Saturday July 12 will feature rock legends Grand Funk Rail Road and The Temptations. This classic hits show will rock the HEC with hits from both bands. Internationally acclaimed, Grand Funk has toured the world, selling out in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and South America. The group’s widespread appeal is also evident in its considerable recording achievements. Over their career, Grand Funk has had 19 charted singles, 8 Top 40 hits and two Number One singles ("We’re An American Band" and "Locomotion," both selling more than one million each). The group has 12 gold and 10 platinum records with record sales in excess of 25 million copies sold worldwide. The Temptations have also had quiet the success over the years. With great songs, singers and a live stage show that continues to “wow” audiences around the world, the Temptations constantly enlist new fans as they continue to deliver their “Motown” vocal sound that made them famous. “Get Ready, cause here they come”. “We Sing for all People"
Tickets will go on sale for all three shows Wednesday March 26, 2014 at 8 a.m. Tickets will be $25 plus fee’s. From March 26 through March 29 you can purchase tickets to all three shows at a discounted price of $20 plus fees while supplies last. Tickets will be available at the Heartland Events Center Box office and all Ticketmaster outlets.
