10/11 Cares Presents $200 Check to Mickle Middle School

10/11 Cares visited Mickle Middle School Thursday morning to present Principal Gene Thompson with the proceeds from a chili feed fundraiser.

10/11 Cares and Mickle Middle School are VIP partners, as part of the Lincoln Public Schools "Ventures in Partnership" program.

Last month, 10/11 employees cooked up their favorite chili recipes. Our co-workers were asked to make a small donation in exchange for a "flight" of chili samples. A total of $201.35 was raised.

Principal Thompson says the money will go toward a new sound system for the school's auditorium.

"We really appreciate (10/11's) efforts, and the money will go to good use for students here at Mickle," said Thompson.
