10/11 Cares Turns Out for the Heart Walk

Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer of all Americans. Saturday, the community of Lincoln showed up in force at Pioneers Park to honor survivors, remember those who weren't so lucky, raise money (over $147,000) for research and do their part to not let the disease claim them as victims.
10/11's Erika Tallan and Deborah Tuff emceed the event. Other 10/11 Cares members manned a booth where we handed out prizes. We also walked the 2 mile route to get our hearts pumping to start the weekend. The weather was perfect. The turnout was excellent. The fun was everywhere. The free stuff was, well, free. Who doesn't like free stuff?
