Two nonprofit animal organizations got together to celebrate a major milestone Saturday.
Lincoln Animal Ambassadors recently surpassed 1,000 spay and neuters performed on animals in need.
The accomplishment was made possible by donations like those from Cause for Paws boutique.
The store's profits go to several animal organizations around the city.
President Sue Sturgis says seeing those organizations help animals is a dream come true, saying, "I just want to make Lincoln know that it's a better town for what they're doing here, coming and shopping at my store to help these groups, to help us stop animal abuse in Lincoln, and this is one way, by cutting down on the pet population, this neutering and spaying, which is very important."
If you missed out on Saturday's celebration but want to shop and help animals at the same time, you still can.
Cause for Paws is open six days a week.
The shop is located at 56th and Old Cheney.
