NFC hosts the 2nd annual "Who's Smarter than a LPS 5th Grader? event on Thursday, March 22, 2012. It will be hosted by former Husker and Pro football player, Steve Taylor and feature several celebrity contestants. The contestants include: Senator Amanda McGill, KFRX DJ Matt McKay, LPS Principal Pam Hale and returning champion, City Council Member, Doug Emery. The event will be from 5:30pm-8:00pm at the Embassy Suites in downtown Lincoln.

The Northeast Family Center in Lincoln is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth and families in the Lincoln area. They offer services in early childhood education, youth development and family support.
