The first annual Battle of the Broadcasters paired men vs. women and brought in blood donations during the critical holiday season. 10/11's Erika Tallan paired up with KFRX's Lindsey Nielsen to battle 10/11's Chad Silber and KFRX's Matt McKay to see who could get more blood donors on their side.
Blood mobiles were at both stations Wednesday to wind down the three day event. As people donated blood they cast their vote for the girls' team (Bloody Marys) or the boys' team (Blood Brothers). Donors at KFRX were treated to Subway breakfast sandwiches. Donors at 10/11 recieved a free burger from food truck, Nitro Burger.
The event was considered a success since the goal was set at 100 donors, and 139 votes were cast. This year's winner goes to the Bloody Marys with a final score of 84-55.
