The Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation just won 6 thousand dollars in a charity event held at the Red Nine nightclub in Lincoln.
Event attendees, and there were hundreds of them, paid 15 dollars for a beverage and a chance to vote for one of a dozen local charities and organizations around Lincoln.
The Collingsworth Foundation got the most votes, so they got the money.
The money will help the organization spread awareness about protecting young children from drowning.
