A Lincoln native is making a documentary about what sets Husker nation apart from other college football programs.

Filmmaker Ryan Tweedy says he wanted to find out what created the Husker legacy of caring and support.

To do that, he talked to fans and former players.

He says being a Husker fan is about more than just wearing red.

It's a culture that extends beyond the field and into the community.

Several of the players he spoke to said Husker fans are what help make the team great.

Now Tweedy needs support from Husker nation to finish his film.

He has a fundraising account set up online where you can see a trailer for the documentary and learn more about his project.
