During the month of October, Bosselman Pump & Pantry convenience stores sold “pumpkins” as a part of a national fundraising campaign to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals.
Nearly $35,000 was raised by Pump & Pantry stores across Nebraska.
"It's not about us, but our customers that come into our stores and help us raise all of those funds," said Charlie Bosselman.
First place in sales was the Elm Creek Pump & Pantry with 3,515 pumpkins sold. In second place was the Kearney Pump & Pantry on S. 2nd Ave. with 2,562 pumpkins sold, and third place went to the Alma Pump & Pantry, with 1,941 pumpkins sold.
"They offer help to families that can't afford it. Any of the patients that go to St. Jude's hospitals are not required to pay, they don't want to say no to any child," said Bill Boyd, Representing St. Jude Friday Afternoon.
