We've had some problems the last couple of years trying to control weeds and rugrats wanting to eat our plants before we can. This year we invested in a fence, have committed to weeding more often and are trying teepees for our cucumbers and squash to climb up.
Have any of you had similar problems with your gardens? What do you do to ensure your garden is a success each year? What are your favorite or least favorite things to grow?
I think here at the station our rhubarb, zucchini and tomatoes are probably the most popular crops. This year we're trying a few new things like kale, pink banana squash and edamame. Does anyone have any good recipes for these or other garden fresh produce?
Stay tuned throughout the season for updates on if our efforts were a success.
