Billionaire investor Warren Buffett will help raise money for one of his favorite charities in November by speaking at an Omaha event.
Buffett who is chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway will join a distinguished list of speakers when he appears at the tenth annual fundraising lunch for Girls Inc. on Nov. 14 at the CenturyLink Center. And he'll have a short commute from Berkshire's midtown Omaha headquarters.
Previous Girls Inc. speakers include former President Bill Clinton, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and President Barack Obama, who spoke in 2005 when he was a U.S. senator from Illinois.
Buffett is one of the world's most successful investors and biggest philanthropists. He'll be interviewed at the event by CNBC anchor Becky Quick.
Girls Inc. provides educational and recreational programs for girls.
