The holiday season is getting a whole lot merrier for the Capital Humane Society thanks to a big donation.

Nebraska business owner Mark Pieloch gave 1.5 million dollars to the nonprofit organization's ''Celebrate Me Home'' campaign Tuesday.

That brings the total campaign contributions to 3.7 million dollars, well beyond the 2. 9 million needed to build a new adoption and education facility.

The Capital Humane Society says it will begin construction on the Mark Pieloch Animal Adoption Center this spring.
