Decorated Jazz Singer Highlights Free Concert
The summer concert series continues at Lincoln’s Stransky Park. Amid a beautiful setting that includes a gazebo stage and a waterfall, live music bellows into the neighborhood every Thursday. Tonight the highly touted jazz singer Jackie Allen performs with her band.
"They have been recorded on Blue Note records, the famous jazz label. They are in the park tonight, we can't believe it. This is great," said promoter Jim Heydt.
Jackie Allen will perform original songs and others like Frank Sinatra’s “Come Fly With Me.”
"I am really looking forward to it, It's a lot of fun for the artists as well as the audience to have outdoor, under the sky performances for families, it's just great," said Allen. "It's always so much fun to have the energy of the outdoor crowd. It's a great time."
The concert is Thursday, July 12 at 7:30 p.m.
