Double Transplant Survivor Urges Organ Donation

Kathryn Slattery of Lincoln is a true survivor.

Just four months ago, the 18 year old high school senior underwent
a heart/liver transplant in Omaha.

Now she's literally back on her feet, looking forward to graduating Pius High School and heading off to UNL this fall.

At a recent fundraiser for Donate Life, Slattery handed over a check
for 2 thousand dollars to the organization that raises organ donation awareness.

She knows, perhaps better than anyone, how important it is that people become organ donors.
