On Fri, May 28th, the 10/11 Cares team rocked out to D*Funk at SouthPointe Pavilions while collecting donations for Lincoln's Child Advocacy Center (CAC).
SouthPointe Pavilions' Friday Nights Live concert season kicked off with a huge crowd! 10/11 personalities Ken Siemek, Serese Cole, John Fortney, and Kevin Sjuts broadcast live from SouthPointe during the 5pm & 6pm shows and helped to emcee the event.
The CAC only asked for a $1 donation, and it was definitely for a good cause: 761 child victims were seen at the Child Advocacy Center in 2009. 85% of those kids alleged sexual abuse, and most of the kids the center sees are under the age of 12. 10/11 Cares volunteers were on hand to collect donations from the crowd. (We may have done a little dancing, too...)
