Habitat for Humanity's annual Christmas Cookie Walk returned once again to Grand Island on Sunday.

Nearly 13,000 cookies and candies filled banquet tables at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

About 250 volunteer bakers provided the sweets, which were sold by the pound.

Organizers expected to raise $4,000 to $5,000 from the event.

Proceeds will help fund the Habitat's housing projects.
