The Heartland United Way's 2011 Campaign Kickoff Luncheon was Tuesday afternoon at the Heartland Events Center in Grand Island.

The luncheon featured comedian and best-selling author, Steve Gilliland. Gilliland is one of the most in-demand and top-rated speakers in North America.

As of Tuesday, the Heartland United Way has raised $460,000 - that's 1/3 of the way to the annual goal of $1,380,000.
