Local runners wore some really uncomfortable shoes to make a difference Sunday.
The Lincoln Junior League held its inaugural High Heel Relay at Southpointe Pavilion this morning.
Fifteen teams of both men and women strapped on stilettos to raise money for a good cause.
The League donates money and time to local organizations like the Boys and Girls Club and Matt Talbot Kitchen.
Besides men's and women's heats, there was also a celebrity race.
Lincoln Stars hockey player Zach Aston-Reese won it in a pair of black strappy wedges, claiming the coveted green heel trophy.
