Over 300 people with disabilities were registered for this year's Husker Heroes event. Add in the families and around 900 people along with 200 athletes took part in this year's event.
10/11 Cares helped attendees get checked in. On the way in the door they got goodie bags. Once inside the Hawks Champions Center the kid came out in everyone. Athletes manned stations where kids could see what it was like to do each sport, from running a football obstacle course, to hitting a giant volleyball, to playing catch with an athlete, to meeting cheerleaders and Herbie and Lil' Red, and, of course, there were autographs all around.
One fan loves 10/11 so much she's having a 10/11 cake for her birthday! Bridget Fargen and Tony DeGrand were happy to get their picture taken with her.
