Jon Vanderford Takes 1st Place at Midwest Working Draft Team Classic

Everyone is still talking about the huge crowds that turned out this weekend at the Nebraska State Fair.

And, one of the fun events held Sunday afternoon was the 1st annual Midwest Working Draft Team Classic. Several celebrities were asked to take part in the competition, and 10/11's Jon Vanderford took home the blue ribbon.

Jon really has no experience driving a team of horses, but his father-in-law does. Gary Gilster, a farmer and horseman from Pender, told Jon to keep the reins tight, but not too tight. These wise words from Taryn's dad must have helped.
