Kids Trick or Treat for UNICEF

A group of local kids won't just be asking for candy while trick or treating this year.

The children from the Unitarian Church in Lincoln will be trick or treating for UNICEF this year.

They'll be asking for monetary donations while going door to door.

Today they decorated pumpkins, which were sold to congregation members to raise additional funds.

Organizers say it's a chance for the kids to learn about helping other people who are just like them.

The trick or treaters will be carrying orange UNICEF boxes.

All the money will go to providing kids around the world with water, food, safe housing and education.
