The Salvation Army in Omaha is again asking for volunteers to serve as bell ringers for the upcoming holiday Red Kettle fundraising campaign.
The charitable organization says the bell ringing campaign will begin Nov. 11 and run through Dec. 24. Individuals, families and organizations can register to ring bells for two-hour shifts running from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at locations across the Omaha area.
The Salvation Army is also asking for help in serving those who participate in its Thanksgiving drive to help those in need by delivering meals. About 60 volunteer drivers are still needed.
The charity says last year, more than 21,000 local volunteers made it possible for The Salvation Army to raise more than $3 million to operate 25 social service programs.
