Nebraska Agency Seeks Volunteers for Park Work

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is seeking volunteers for a day of work at Branched Oak State Recreation Area northwest of Lincoln.

The work would be done on Take Pride in America Day, May 5.

The volunteers at Branched Oak will be clearing a mile-long trail.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves, chain saws, pruning shears, axes and power trimmers.

The commission says people should call the park office at 402-783-3400 to volunteer.

A park entry permit is required.
