It was a big day for one Nebraska teen. Jennifer Jimenez of Westside High School received the 2012 Nebraska Youth of the Year award from the Boys and Girls Clubs. The Omaha senior earned the award by displaying qualities of character, service and leadership. It means Jimenez is getting a $1,000 scholarship, and will go on to a regional competition.

First at Four's Taryn Vanderford served as one of the judges of the event. By the way, whoever wins the national Youth of the Year award gets a $50,000 scholarship.
