Deadline to register in person at county election offices is 6 p.m. Friday
The May 15th Primary Elections are moving in fast now. Are you registered to vote?
Nebraska residents are being reminded that the final voter registration deadline for the May 15 primary election is this week.
Secretary of State John Gale says the deadline to register in person at county election offices is 6 p.m. Friday.
That deadline includes registration changes, such as updating an address or changing party affiliation.
The deadline for mail-in voter registrations was last Friday.
Registered voters can make requests until 4 p.m. May 9 for early
voting ballots to be mailed. May 15 is the deadline for in-person
early voting.
As reporter Owen Jensen found out--he registered to vote--it takes about a minute to accomplish the task.
Meanwhile, projected voter turnout is around 25 percent.
