The Salvation Army will sponsor its 18th TurkeyFest this year at The Salvation Army Kroc Center in southeast Omaha.
The city-wide feeding effort provides a complimentary Thanksgiving dinner to those who would otherwise have none.
More than 300 volunteers will deliver turkey dinners to about 1,400 Omaha Housing Authority residents, homebound elderly and the near-homeless in the metropolitan area.
TurkeyFest deliveries begin around 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day when volunteers arrive at the Kroc Center to pick up meals to be delivered.
