Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.
It kills more than half a million women every year.
February is American Heart Month, to help raise awareness, the Nebraska Heart Institute and Heart Hospital is sponsoring the 2nd annual Red Dress Dash.
It's a one mile dash round downtown Lincoln, participants are encouraged to recruit a friend, wear a favorite (or not so favorite) red dress over winter clothing for the walk, run or dash.

Meeting Place: Barry’s (235 N 9th Street)
Dash Begins: 6:00 p.m.
After the Dash: Warm up at Barry's with hot chocolate and light appetizers
