SAE International Seeks Volunteers for Neb. Event

SAE International is recruiting volunteers for its 2012 car design competition in Nebraska.

The SAE International is seeking 250 volunteers in the Lincoln area to help with the more than 80 teams expected to register for the Formula SAE competition.

The 2012 competition will be held June 20-23 at the Lincoln Airpark.

It's the first time the event is being held in Nebraska.

It's previously been held in California.

Groups of college students will build prototypes of small formula-style race cars and then test them out at the competition in a series of tests.
