The University of Nebraska at Omaha's annual "7 Days of Service" event will see some 1,500 area college and high school students using their spring break to give back to the community.
Beginning Saturday, the students will spend seven days helping with various building and renovation projects throughout the Omaha and Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Students will be working on 12 projects and in cooperation with 14 nonprofit organizations.
Those organizations include Habitat for Humanity, Lauritzen Gardens and The Salvation Army.
This will mark the 10th year of the spring break service event.
