The University of Nebraska at Omaha has kicked off its 51st year of helping the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's annual Toys for Tots drive to brighten the holiday season of needy children.
UNO is helping the 2011 Toys for Tots drive by providing drop-off boxes for new, unwrapped toys on the first floor of the UNO Student Center and in the lobby of the campus' Thompson Center.
The drop-off boxes will be in place through Nov. 18.
Donated toys should be for children between birth and 14 years old.
Toys should avoid suggestions of violence or specific religious affiliation.
