While many families spent the Easter Holiday at a traditional egg hunt or at religious services, not everyone had family to spend the day with, or a meal to enjoy.
Volunteers at the People's City Mission and Matt Talbot Kitchen chose to spend their day serving others food and fellowship.
The Sunderman family says serving Easter dinner at Matt Talbot is quickly becoming a family tradition.
Sara Sunderman works at Matt Talbot and also volunteers to serve meals at the Community Outreach Center. This is the second time in a row she's brought her family along.
Sunderman said "We like spending Easter as a family and this is a really good way to give back. We get to be together as a family and we get to help other people at the same time."
Countless volunteers, like the Sunderman family have served one hundred thousand meals to those in need over the past year.
