It was Take Pride in America day at Branched Oak State Park.
Volunteers were taking pride in the park's appearance.
More than 100 volunteers came out to help spruce up the park.
The main project today was trimming over-hanging branches from the trails.
This makes it easier for horses to navigate through the 12 miles of paths.
A group of around 30 students came from Malcom High School.
They say it feels good to give back, especially since the park is where the cross country team practices and competes.
Park officials say the volunteer effort makes a big difference.
It saves them a lot of money and time while keeping the park looking its best.
