Volunteers are being sought to help record Nebraska veterans' stories for the Library of Congress.
Congressman Adrian Smith's office will host a training workshop for volunteers on Nov. 17 at the Grand Island Public Library. A professional folklorist will teach how to record oral histories and collect memoirs, photos and other documents.
The training is to be used for The Veterans History Project through the Library of Congress' American Folklife Center. The project recruits volunteers to interview war veterans in their communities.
