Taylor Barth anchors and produces First News Nebraska on Saturdays and Sundays. You can also catch her reports during the week.
Taylor is from Utica and attended Centennial High School. She grew up watching 1011 News and is excited to be back reporting in the community. Taylor’s love of writing and passion to perform led her to pursue a career in TV.
Taylor graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in sociology. During her time in Missouri, Taylor worked as a reporter and weekend anchor at KOMU 8 News in Columbia. She covered several unique stories at KOMU, including a trip to Colorado to show Missourians the impact of marijuana legalization.
Taylor also interned at WAVY/WVBT in Portsmouth, Virginia, where she helped direct a daily lifestyle program called “The Hampton Roads Show.” While she is a Midwestern girl at heart, she enjoyed being close to the beach and experiencing what Hampton Roads has to offer.
Like a true Nebraskan, Husker football and Runzas are a few of Taylor’s favorite things. However, she is still proud to be a Missouri Tiger and wear her black and gold. Taylor loves to travel and spent a summer living in Florence, Italy. In her free time, she enjoys spoiling her dog Rudy, spending time with her family and friends and indulging in her guilty pleasure – reality TV.
