Megan is a Video Journalist for the 10/11 Sports Team.
Megan McGill joined the 10/11 News team in May 2016 as a Video Journalist and Content Producer. Megan spent several months reporting and producing for Pure Nebraska. Megan now works in the sports department as a Video Journalist
Megan graduated in May 2016 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with degrees in both Journalism and Broadcasting. The Nebraska native was born and raised in Omaha, where she took an early liking to storytelling and writing.
Megan interned close to home at KETV Newswatch 7. There, she worked with the news team, but spent the majority of her time with the sports crew. After interning there for a summer, she was hired on as a part-time employee for the fall of 2015. In the fall, she shot high school football highlights for KETV's Friday night sports segment, Operation Football. Sports are Megan's first love and Operation Football helped her learn the ins and outs of sports reporting.
Megan has and always will bleed Husker red, but when Nebraska is not on she is likely watching her favorite Golden State Warrior, Steph Curry. The only thing she loves more than basketball is Disney! When she's not at work Megan can be found watching all the Disney classics, binge watching Netflix and hanging out with family and friends. Megan is excited to be a part of the 1011 team and tell your stories! Connect with her on Facebook and Twitter or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. She would love to hear from you!
